It has also crossed the coveted $1 billion mark at the global box office and has become the highest-grossing movie in 2022 and the first film to pass $1 billion since Spider-Man: No Way Home earned $1.9 billion last year.

Top Gun: Maverick and Elvis have dropped down Jurassic World Dominion, the film that held the #1 spot for the past two weekends, to third place as it only earned $26.4 million.
